How to choose a wedding venue in Ploiești: 12 questions to ask a restaurant (date, capacity, menu, drinks, cake, guest rooms), using President as an example.
In short: To choose a wedding venue in Ploiești, first fix the date and a rough guest count, then ask 2–3 restaurants for written offers and put the same 12 questions to each: is the hall free on your date, how many guests it seats, what the menu costs per person, which drinks and cake you can bring, what is included and what is extra, and where out-of-town guests can stay. Compare the offers on the same criteria, not only on the menu price. The President Event Centre has 7 halls (President 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and President Classic), menus with published prices and guest rooms at our own hotel, President Luxury Villa. Request an offer on the event booking page.
What to decide before you look for a venue
You need three things to get offers you can compare:
- The date (and a backup date). Saturdays in wedding season are booked first.
- A rough number of guests. It decides which hall fits and the total cost.
- Your food budget and what you will bring yourself (drinks, cake, fruit).
If the civil ceremony is on the same day, check the civil registry schedule first (see below).
The 12 questions to ask the restaurant
- Is the hall free on my date? Ask for written confirmation and how long the date will be held for you.
- How many guests does the hall seat at tables, with a dance floor? Ask for the wedding figure, not the maximum capacity.
- What does the menu cost per person and what does it include? Ask for the list of courses: starter, fish, traditional course, main course.
- Can I choose or swap courses? Also ask about menus for vegetarians, children or guests with allergies.
- Which drinks can I bring and what quantities are recommended?
- Can I bring my own cake or must it be ordered through the restaurant?
- What can I not bring from outside? For example coffee and other prepared food.
- Is there a candy bar and what does it cost per person?
- What is included in the price and what is charged separately? Ask about decor, flower arrangements, staff and extra hours.
- Until what time can the party go on?
- Where can out-of-town guests stay and how far is it from the hall?
- How does booking work, how much is the deposit and what happens if I postpone or cancel? Get the terms in writing.

- Fees in Ploiești (local council decision HCL no. 640/2024): a Saturday ceremony costs 74 lei, a Sunday or public holiday ceremony 224 lei.

How to compare offers
Put the offers side by side and compare the same lines: menu price per person, which drinks you bring, separate fees, finishing time, deposit and cancellation terms, guest accommodation. A cheaper menu can end up costing more if you must buy drinks through the restaurant or pay separately for extra hours.
